Each Sunday, after the 10 a.m. worship service, the adults of the parish are welcome to engage with teachers, Bible Study, mixed-media teaching series and local professors as they wrestle with the theological issues of the day.

Adult Formation for Fall 2025: Wisdom Better Than Gold?!?

To enhance your understanding, increase your faith and tickle your funny bone, a variety of adult education classes will be offered throughout this fall. Below is the list of class dates. All classes will begin after the 10 a.m. service. Try them all or drop in to one or two as the Spirit moves!

  • September 21—Caught in the Whirlwind
    • Questions raised by the story of Job. With pretty pictures by William Blake!
  • September 28—Why Me! Job: A Comedy?
    • This short one-act play will feature several parishioners making fools of themselves trying to figure out why bad things happen to good people. Think an adult Christmas pageant without wisemen. Presented in the Church.
  • October 12—Peaceful Habitations, Secure Dwellings and Quiet Resting Places
    • Common Ground presentation on public housing
  • October 19—The Dominion of Sin
    • Patriarchy and fascism
  • November 2—Equipping the Saints
    • Deacons, priests and bishops, oh my!
  • November 9—Dwelling in Unity
    • How The Episcopal Church works within the Anglican Communion
  • November 16—“Never anything by the wit of man so well devised”
    • A biography of the Book of Common Prayer.
  • November 23—Instructed Eucharist
  • December 7—Casting the Nativity, Part 1
    • The theological roles of Mary, Angels and Shepherds
  • Postponed: December 14—Casting the Nativity, Part 2

    • The theological roles of Joseph, the Wisemen and Herod

Additional learning opportunities are available throughout the year, especially in Lent. We also host reading groups and discuss films periodically.
